If you've ever been driving at the weekend and noticed a series of
classic cars going past in what is clearly an organised event, then you
have seen a Touring Assembly. It is not a competition but it is an
opportunity for classic car owners to get together and take their pride
and joy for a pleasant run through the countryside, while for the rest
of us we can admire a collection of some of the finer examples of
motoring history.
The 2011 'Cambridge Classic' raised much-needed funds for the St. Nicholas Hospice.
Beginning the day at Moulton Village Hall with tea, coffee and bacon rolls, a variety of almost thirty beautiful classics turned out to start their 70 mile route to Pakenham Water Mill, along the beautiful B-roads of Suffolk.
Special thanks to Ed Chambers for organising this fun yet important fundraising event, and to all involved who made it such a successful day.
